- my line is Henry and Susannah, John and Eliza Dyel, John Henry and Rosina Mills, Frederick William and Mary McGregor, Donald Roy and Winifred O"Meagher, then me.
- Tell us a little about yourself:
- I am a Kable by birth, always interested in my heritage, worked on Henry and Susannah's story and family tree for 40 years. I have organised many Kable reunions, the biggest being the Bicentennial -- 200th Wedding Anniversary of Henry and Susannah Kable for 500 decendants on 10th February, 1788, at the then Regent of Sydney Hotel ,now the Four Seasons ,on the spot where they first lived and he was 1st gaoler. Ready to pass the baton to younger people for further reunions.

I hope everyone is aware of the ever increasing list of books on the main page that have some mention of our family.!! Jay continues to add to this I am sure as its seems longer to me every time I look. What a wonderful list it is and a great benefit to anyone trying to find any info on our family. Please take time to look over this never ending, continually growing list for all to see

I don't think anything would be gained at this stage by contacting Mike's widow. If she had been interested in the Kable history she would have made enquiries by now. Of course she may not be fully aware of the Kable background, Mike may not have realised it's significance, such as being descended from Australia's first family !!
Possibly it would be more appropriate prior to the next Reunion to make contact with her and to seek permission to display the Jug (if she still has it). I'm sure her sons would like to know about their ancestors.
Again, I invite any of the Kable Mob who are actively researching may find the "missing link" with Dorothy.

- Thanks Zillah, I am trying to establish if Dorothy was in fact a descendant from Henry and Susannah. If Faye has no record on the Diana Teale side it may be on the Diana Gaudry line. If not, what was her line, did you ask Dorothy that question when she spoke with you??
I knew Mike for many years, he and I both represented Navy in Rugby Union in 1954 and 1955 when he was a young Sub Lieutenant. I also documented his achievements in the Navy Personnel section of his "Haul-down Report" when he retired. I was not aware of any Kable connection. Joan and I attended many Dinners with Mike and Carla when he was President of the Naval Association after his retirement..
I hope that one of the Kable mob who reads this may be able to trace Dorothy Edwards (father Frederick W Edwards) through their family line. A good project for all.
