Thetford gaol in the "Property Ladder" TV show

Last night I was watching the British show "Property Ladder" when on came the gaol at Thetford, Norfolk. This gaol is the one we believe Henry spent time in before his transportation to Norwich Castle gaol for the longer term.Penne Mackenzie placed a few photos in the photo section at the first pages of the many photos now seen here on the Mob.. There is a plaque still seen on the front of the buillding seen on the screen, too briefly though ,referring to the history and the association of our family.
Apparently the gaol was occupied by tenants for the 5 years before the filming, in August 2007. Years ago a pen pal of mine Mikel Mickalec and his wife lived there and I was able to go meet them and given a tour of all the still remaining cells on the upper floors. Others in the family have done likewise I''ve been told.Now in this show a lady had bought half the building and was going to convert it to a complete house. She was unfortunately still completing her project when the film finished. The most interesting part was when she dug beneath the floors and there was a sub ground dungeon too. A little creepy.
The character of the gaol was to be kept by having each bedroom with a cell door at it's entrance-- would you fell free living there ? maybe we can find out who does now-- ?the building still has the plaques and signs showing it's origins on the outside.
